Damaged Hair

Recent research has shown that although there are many very different factors that affect hair – cosmetics, environmental, mechanical actions or emotional – their effect is the same. Here is how: just out of the hair follicle has a well defined proportion of amino acids, the constituents of hair. And life in general, because our bodies are based on more than 50,000 protein composed of amino acids to produce cells, tissues, organs, hormones and other elements essential to health.

As the hair is damaged, some of these amino acids are lost. The results are thin hair, dry and lifeless, difficult hair styling.  The more amino acids disappear, the more serious is the problem. It is one of those vicious circles related to beauty – which is becoming more serious over time.  To understand how life and habits affect our hair structure is a true change of perspective. The scientists have been able to identify what changes in brightness and strength are related to the loss of amino acids.

Results of recent research, Oxford Hair Foundation’s annual seminar and meeting European Society of  Hair Research (European Hair Research Society), have shown that reducing resistance, brilliance and suppleness of hair loss can be attributed to a small number of types of amino acids in the hair structure.damaged hair 300x199 Damaged Hair

Amino acids are essential components underlying our existence and life on Earth. Cells use the information included in our DNA in various combinations to construct various proteins, which form muscle, hair, skin and nails. Major component of hair is keratin, which is found in 90% of the hair which is the last protein of human origin. Proteins are made of various types of amino acids, keratin is composed of about 20 amino acids. These amino acid molecules are essential components of the hair, basically its source of life. So have an essential influence on the appearance and texture of hair.

Peas

Pea contains almost all amino acids, so it is, like other legumes, a very important ingredient in the diet of vegetarians.

It is rich in vitamin K, which participates in the regulation of calcium in the bones . Peas contain a significant amount of iron, and is great for those whose diet is determined by the deficit of this mineral, or who have problems with anemia.

The content of B vitamins, particularly folic acid and vitamin B6, makes it important for cardiovascular health, especially atherosclerosis, because these vitamins are essential for maintaining the amount of homocysteine in the blood (it was proved that high level of homocysteine is one of the major risk factors for heart diseases).
